Wednesday

It snowed for the first time since we have been back at school today. It was really pretty since there wasn't any wind. The snow flakes were huge, and were falling straight down. It was great to look at, not so fun to drive in! (Especially in someone else's car!)
Today was a pretty good day. I worked out and then sat in classes all morning. Major Ian Thomas is our guest lecturer this week (He started the Torchbearer Bible schools). He is 91, and doesn't get to teach very often, so he loves teaching us. It isn't always the easiest to sit through, but he has a great sense of humor. Today he was telling us how he lost his pointer finger, "There was a german holding a gun and I put my finger up and told him to wait...now my finger is somewhere in Europe...with a little white cross."
This afternoon...I slept. I took a good 2 hour nap before dinner. It was wonderful! I met with my small group of girls tonight at the pastors home, which went very well. We had a really small group tonight, so we just talked for most of the time. Afterwards, I had to pick up Joel from his adoptive family's home, since I had his jeep, so I got to go inside and talk with them for a while. They are a really neat couple. They are older, their grandchildren are older than I am, and have some cool stories to tell. After we sat there for a while, Joel taught me how to do doughnuts in his jeep, in an empty parking lot. It was fun, I had never done that before.
We went back to campus just to pick up some friends, and we all went down to the Stanley Hotel and sat in this little room we found a couple months ago. It has big couches and tables, so we just go hang out and talk. It's our little secret area, since everything else in this town closes by 8.
