Mothers Day

I had a wonderful first mothers day! We had a picnic lunch with Joels family at Muddy Run, and spent the rest of the afternoon hiking around the lake. We didn't realize we set out on such a long hike, but it was very enjoyable! It really felt good for me to get out and go for a long hike...it's been a while. Elijah did great! We carried him in a front carrier, and I was surprised how easy it was carrying him! Probably because I was used to having all that weight around my waist! After our hike we visited Joels grandparents and wished Grandma a happy mothers day!

Joel and Elijah gave me a beautiful gift-a necklace and bracelet! I'm sure some of you have heard of Lia Sophia jewelry. One of our friends, Jonathan, hosted a Lia Sophia party for the husbands a few weeks ago!! They all went for beer, poker, and yes, jewelry!! Haha I can just picture all of them looking through everything trying to find a gift for their wives. Too funny. Joel has really great taste in jewelry for me-he knows me well :o)
