Yesterday, Joel and I spent the afternoon at IKEA, in Baltimore. It was a lot of fun! Joel had never been there, so we really enjoyed walking around and looking at everything. Elijah did great too! It was an hour car ride and a long night in a stroller, but he wasn't fussy at all! IKEA has great "family rooms", with a family bathroom, changing table, wipes and diapers and comfy chairs to breastfeed. It was wonderful to not have to try to find places to do all that. Even when we stopped for dinner, there were bottle warmers and microwaves for us to use.
We were in the elevator with another couple and their baby, and thinking this little baby was really new, I asked how old she was. It turns out she was a week older than Elijah and weighed HALF as much! Elijah looked months older than her! It was crazy.
Joel and I were proud of how little we spent! IKEA is one of those places you find lots of little things you never knew you "needed" until you see them. Haha. We came out with 5 house plants and a garbage can! I promised Elijah that we would come back when he is a little older and buy things to make a fun room for him :o)
Oh, and guess what made my day today?? Elijah slept through the night last night!! YAY.
