Happy New Year!

It's been quite a while since I have spent a New Years Eve at home. My family is out for the night, so I have the house to myself! It's great to have some quiet time to watch movies and edit dozens of pictures. Elijah went to bed pretty early, so I've been able to enjoy my quiet night. I'm thinking about turning in long before midnight!
My week is going by fast. I thankfully have spent quite a bit of time with my friend, Kristin, who is getting married in a week from Saturday! Today we went for her final dress fitting, and we have a lot of wedding stuff that will take place before next Saturday. It's really great to be here for a lot of the preparations.
I am enjoying my time in WI, but am very excited to come home. It's hard now that Joel is in Lancaster. The longest we have ever been apart since we have been married was for a long weekend. Two weeks seems like an eternity!
Elijah is growing up so fast. He is learning so many new things, and it's wonderful to have my parents around him for such a long period of time. It will be hard for them to say goodbye.
Well, I'm off to bed. New Years Eve or not, my little E will still be up before the sun!

Girl, I miss you so much! I think about you almost every day and can't wait for you to come back. :) I need you to go with me to get the kids pictures taken! (I think i MIGHT finally be ready to do it now that all the craziness had ended!)
