Mothers Day

I had a wonderful mothers day with my family. They let me sleep in and brought me breakfast in bed! After we ate, we packed a lunch and headed to one of our favorite hiking trails. We had never really let the kids walk the whole way (we just carry Ella), but they did so great! Ella walked the entire way down to the water, which probably wasn't quite a mile, but not too much shorter. Elijah lead the way and LOVED it. He was quite the little mountain climber! We were so impressed with how he climbed around and hiked all by himself. It was such a blast to watch. Ella fell asleep in the ergo on Joel's back for the hike back up. Elijah made it halfway up to the top before Joel had to carry him. Thank goodness for my wonderful husband. He carried BOTH kids up the rest of the way, since it's just too much for this pregnant lady :). It was such an enjoyable day. As our kids get older, we look forward to many more days like this!
