This past weekend, we went to a cabin with grandma, aunt Sara, and another family who Joel's family has been friends with forever. It was really relaxing to get out of the city and let the kids RUN and play. They had a blast, and are thoroughly worn out tonight. Lots of bike riding, throwing rocks into the creek, looking for trains, finding snakes (one live, one chopped in half from the train...) and all sorts of other animals and bugs. We had a great time!!

What a beautiful place! And, of course, a beautiful family! And I'm with Bobby/Stacy...would not have been that close to a snake...but I'm sure you have an excellent zoom lens. :-)

Oh, I was not that close...Joel had the camera and WAS that close. I walked a good 10ft around it. I hate snakes, and that was the biggest I had ever seen in the wild. We also found one cut in half by a train. I couldn't even go near the dead one.
