Today was a really long day! We had to do community work projects from 9-3pm. I worked at a local church, Rocky Mountain Bible Church, helping clean and prepare the new building for moving day. We hauled 375 chairs into the new sanctuary! It was exhausting! Thankfully, we were able to count it towards our 3 hours of physical activity...haha...as pathetic as it sounds, that shows how hard we were working! Anyway, we got to know some of the members of the church, which was really nice. Plus they gave us pizza and doughnuts! What more could I ask for??
After work projects, I had a lazy day. I just hung around our room and lounge all afternoon. After dinner, Katie and I decided to practice some of our gymnastics skills. Little did we know how big of a crowd it would draw. Soon, half the school was outside doing gymnastics and crazy stunts. It was so fun! I'm so sore right now though, it took a lot out of me!
A whole bunch of us went into Estes tonight. First, we went to Starbucks. We all brought our laptops and used the free internet! No more paying $6!! Then we went to the park, where there was supposedly a band playing. After we saw that there wasn't a band, we went up to Mary's Lake Lodge where another band was supposed to be playing. There wasn't. THEN we went to Kelli's restaurant, where we thought yet another band was playing...there wasn't one there either! We drove all over trying to find something to do. We finally settled on an intense gave of volleyball. After volleyball we played a game of full contact spoons in the student center. It was a blast, but people were getting hurt so we decided to call it a night. All in all, it was a pretty eventful, fun day!
Oh...I almost forgot! I was hit by a car today! No worries, I wasn't injured at all. My friend Kristi was driving in the Ravencrest parking lot, and I was standing in front of her car. She turned around to look behind her while she "reversed," but instead of actually putting her car in reverse, she put it in drive. All of a sudden I felt a shove on the back of my legs, almost knocking me over. I turned and looked as someone yelled at her to stop. She was completely turned around, and didn't realize what had even happened! So although it was minor, it still makes me laugh!
