Kellina

What a great weekend! After sidewalk sales in downtown Estes Saturday morning, I drove with 8 friends to Denver for the Robbie Seay, Shane Barnard and David Crowder concert. My friend Natalie from school lives right outside Denver, and she was so gracious to open her home for the night! We had a blast! Her home is right behind a park, so we all threw the frisbee around and played with some little kids on the playground. There were a bunch of little boys playing war with a bunch of sticks and fake guns, so the guys decided to go over and play with them. Us girls heard screaming, and when we looked up, Matt, a friend from school, had a fake rifle in his hand and was sprinting across the lawn, with 10 little boys chasing after him with sticks and guns. It looked like a scene from a movie, we could almost here the soundtrack playing in the background.
After an amazing dinner, we drove a half hour to get tickets for the concert. We were SO disappointed when we got there and it was sold out! Everyone was looking for tickets, so we figured there was NO way that all 9 of us would get in. We were just making other plans, when a youth group came up to us and said they had 10 extra tickets! We were so fortunate to get in! The show was great, the Shanes were amazing (like usual!). After the concert we went to Wendy's. The inside was closed, but since the drive through is open until 2, we went through there. Apparently, you have to be in a VEHICLE to use the drive thru. Who knew???
We all crashed at Natalies, most people fell asleep by midnight, but I was a sucker and decided to watch The Patriot. I didn't get to bed until 3:30, and we had to be up for church at 7:00! Needless to say, I'm exhausted and definitely shouldn't be on the computer right now!
It snowed tonight! I left around 5:00 for youth group, and it was rainy and gross but when I came back up the hill to school, there was an inch of snow up here! It's b-e-a-utiful! A guy from school, Steve, is from Florida and the snow is making him SO nervous. There were only flurries on the ground, and he had his spikes for the bottoms of his shoes ready, boots on, let his car warm up, and asked me "If there are green spots on the road, that means its icy right?" Um...I wish it were that obvious! Haha, I got a kick out of it because I'm so used to snow! We had a snowball fight and I definitely gave Stephanie (who's new nickname from the guys is "Fannie'') a facewash for waking me up from my nap this afternoon. Speaking of nicknames, for some reason I started calling my guy friends by their full names, Jon=Jonathan, Matt=Matthew, etc. SO Matthew decided to call me by my "full" name, which I guess is "Kellina." Haha.
