What a day!

Today was definitely the best day here by far! My friends and I woke up at 4:30am to see the sunrise over the mountains in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was absolutely gorgeous! We drove up through the trail ridge, then hiked up to the top. Although it was freezing and incredibly windy, it was definitely worth the view! (Pictures below!) By 8:00 we were off the mountain, not quite sure what to do with the rest of our day! We decided to go hiking and looking for moose. A blanket of frost covered everything, so it was sparkling and beautiful! Not a cloud in the sky! The hiking we did wasn't hard core or anything, we just hiked around in the valleys, hoping to spot a moose. We saw a female, no bull Moose, but it was still very exciting!
We got back to campus around noon, and nobody had any idea what to do the rest of the day! We had already been to the top of a mountain and back, so nothing else sounded good. We settled for taking naps and doing homework. The rest of the night was super boring. We had grand plans to do something fun, but of course we just stayed on campus and talked about what to do. Elk Fest was in Estes this weekend and since none of us wanted to go near town because of it, we just played cards and ate ice cream :o)
Right before bed, a mouse ran out from under Kristins bed. I thought I was brave, so I went in with a tennis racket, hoping to kill that little guy. I didn't think I was scared of them at all! However, when it ran out from under the bed we all screamed bloody murder...me included! We were listening to it walk around and run in between the beds. It's so gross! We are buying a mouse trap tonight, thank goodness!
