I was waiting for Joel while he was in a doctors appointment last week and I overheard a funny, yet sad, conversation between two strangers in the waiting room. I watched as a man on crutches hobbled past me. I had my back to the door and it didn't cross my mind that he would need someone to open the door for him. That is, until I overheard these two men. The one says to the other, "Poor guy, he took the hard way out." And while they both remain in their seats, the other replies, "Yeah, they really should install one of those automatic doors." By the time I put two and two together, and went to stand up to help him, the man was outside and didn't need help anymore. I couldn't believe it! It took them longer to have the conversation than it actually would have taken them to open the stinking door! It was funny and somewhat disturbing all at the same time.

People don't open doors for ladies with babies either. I should say younger people don't. I think every old man within 20 feet has run to help us out. Chivalry isn't dead.. but it is geriatric! I hope Joel is healing quickly. How are you feeling preggers?
