Elk are Everywhere!

Last night a bunch of us girls went into Estes and worked out at the Rocky Mountain Health Club, then decided to hit up Safeway for some late night snacks. All of a sudden, out of the corner of my eye I saw a HUGE elk cross right in front of the car, and of course I let out a big girly scream. I felt a little embarrassed for screaming like that, but thankfully Nicole (the driver) hadn't even seen it and would have hit it if I hadn't screamed! It was such a close call, we were probably a foot away from hitting it. We were all a little shaky after that. We bought an elk postcard and hung it on our "memory wall" we made in our commons area.
After our run in with the elk, we had a girls night in lower berg, watching "First Daughter," eating popcorn, painting nails, etc. It was the girls bonding night, while the guys were on a camping trip. This morning Kristin woke me up at 11:00!!! We couldn't believe how long we slept! It's crazy!
I had a pretty fun time today with my girlies. We went to Boulder and did some shopping, saw a movie, and got dinner. We saw "Just Like Heaven," with Reese Witherspoon. I saw the premier in Denver, and I loved it so much I had to take my friends to see it! It is a great movie...the perfect "date" movie. It's a romance, but it's also hilarious! I highly recommend it! When we got back to the Chalet we watched "Dumb and Dumber" with a bunch of people on the porch. We're all exhausted and heading to bed early (yeah, even though I woke up at 11!), we have church in the morning. Goodnight all!
