Friday

Today was another long day. Sitting through five hours of lectures can really be draining. Nothing exciting really ever happens. We were given an assignment by Chris Thomas today, and when asked the due date, his reply was "Before Christ comes back...OR since we do not know the date and since this is a dictatorship, how about we make it due Thursday." He says stuff like that casually ALL the time! Once he said "Bow your head so we can begin class with a
prayer...not because it's a ritual and we have to, but because we want to dedicate this time to the Lord. BUT, in effort to avoid a ritual, today we will skip the prayer and move right into the lecture." It must be his english humor coming through...he's a funny guy.
In between classes, I was walking up from my dorm when Kristin and I heard a voice that sounded like it was directly above us. Kristin said jokingly, "Maybe Steve is in the tree!" Well, this guy is really into nature, always stopping to look at flowers and "feel the sun on his face." God bless him, but it just gets really strange at times! Anyway, HE WAS AT THE TOP OF THE PINE TREE, "GAZING" OFF INTO THE DISTANCE. I don't know why, but I guess he felt the urge to climb to the top of a really tall tree to see the mountains! Everyone was taking pictures of him...it was so strange!
Tonight most of the school went into Boulder to hang out. I stayed back and took a nap...which was wonderful! After dinner, I went into Estes with some friends. Mostly I just sat at Starbucks on my laptop...there isnt much to do in Estes on a friday night in the fall, so we all bring our computers down and take advantage of high speed internet. I came back to Ravencrest and watched the Best of Will Ferrell with a bunch of friends. It was a pretty fun night.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to go to the Shane, David Crowder concert, but we can't seem to find tickets. We're going to just risk it, and head into Denver anyway. My friends parents are expecting us, so we'll just go hang out at her house if we can't make it to the concert.
Well, I'm off to bed early tonight! Thankfully I get to sleep in!
