June 1st...already!

Today we went to Patience Hill to garden, and to our surprise, when we pulled in the driveway there was a firetruck, and lots of firemen all around. Not really a good thing, haha. Apparently the fire alarm went off in the house (it is vacant) and the firemen came.

It was almost like a movie when the people come home to their house surrounded by squad cars and fire trucks. The police men come over to the car and ask, "Are you the owners of the property?," and the people rush out of their car and run towards the house. But in our case, we got out of the car and when they asked if we were the key holders, we were like, "We wish!" Thankfully nothing was wrong, it was just a false alarm.

Whenever we garden there I always peek in the windows. Since nobody lives there, and it is an AMAZING house, I can't help myself. But today I actually got to go INTO the house! They had to unlock it to let the firemen in, so I was able to see it. It is probably one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen. It has lots of character. The decorating is straight from Pottery Barn. Beautiful (Pictures above)
Tonight we have a rehearsal dinner to go to for two friends. The groomsmen are all the same from our wedding. It will be a lot of fun, but it makes for a busy 2 days. Joels events start at 8:15 tomorrow morning! The wedding is at 1:00, and the reception isn't until 6:00. It will be a long, but fun day!
