I wish I could take credit for this beautiful picture, but Joel took it. It is of the sun setting over the Neuse River in North Carolina. We helped our friends, Matt and Naomi, move to N.C. We pulled a trailer with their belongings in it, following their mini van full of all six of them and their 2 golden retrievers. It was so great to spend time with their family, and to see where they will be living. They lived in the city before, so the children (and dogs!) were SO happy to have space to run.
It's been kind of a rough week. My friend Stacey was killed in a car accident on Tuesday. It has been hard to be away from everyone else who is grieving her death. This has been the hardest part so far about being away from home. She was loved by so many people. Approximately 600 young people have said that they have been touched by Stacey. Please keep her family and friends in your prayers (Stacey is on the right).
