Finally in Wisconsin

We made it to Wisconsin! We got in around lunchtime Friday morning, after a VERY long car ride. We hit snow in Indiana around 2am, and it didn't stop until we were almost at my parents house. What would have taken us 12-13 hours ended up taking us almost 16. The roads were bad, but not terrible until we hit Chicago at rush hour. The express lane wasn't even cleared, so we drove through 4 inches of snowy slush. Gross. We were home long enough to take a two hour nap, and then hit the road again for Kristins wedding in Minnesota. Thankfully, we had clear roads the whole way. But Saturday we had blizzard conditions for the wedding! A lot of family and friends couldn't make it, but that didn't stop them from enjoying the day!! It made taking pictures difficult, since we only had a small dark church for our backdrop. But by the end of the night it had cleared, and Joel and I were able to make it to Minneapolis. We decided to head out and get a hotel a few hours into our journey, so we didn't have another 8 hour drive on Sunday. It was a lot of fun to spend time just "us," without Elijah. The drive home was slippery. There were LOTS of cars and semi's in the ditch, but we made it safely last night.
Today we are just hanging out. My family got the stomach flu yesterday and today, so we're hoping we already had the same thing last weekend, so none of us are sick for Christmas!
In all this spare time I'm going to try to put some pictures up from the wedding, but I don't have my computer here, so I won't get at editing them for a while. If I don't post for a few days, I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas!!

How did Elijah do with the extra long car ride? How was he over the weekend?

We had a sleeping baby until Chicago, and then he let loose. Literally. He filled his pants, so he screamed and screamed until we changed him. He screamed as soon as he was in his carseat again until he fell asleep from screaming. If we wouldnt have hit traffic it would have been fine! He did great with my parents! He is really clingy today though!
