Kristin and Alan

Back in January, one of my dearest friends, Kristin, got married to another good friend, Alan! I was so honored to be a part of their special day. I met Kristin my freshman year in college, where we were randomly placed in a small group together through our church. We walked through a lot of life together since then, and it was such a joy to see her marry Alan! He could not be more perfect for her, and he brought us all to tears as we watched him cry through the entire ceremony! It was so sweet to see his love for his bride. At the reception, Kristin's brother and another close friend of ours surprised them with their first dance. Emily sang "God Bless the Broken Road," while Kristin's brother played guitar. It was especially beautiful if you know their story. In short, Kristin began dating Alan's best friend, while all along never realizing that Alan had feelings for her. Alan waited patiently through a lot of Kristin's pain and heartache with her boyfriend, until the time was right for Alan to share his feelings with her. It is really sweet, and if you know the song...it fits perfectly. Alan and Kristin, I am so excited for you both. I love you.
